Step 1

First you need to remove your stock filter. To do this, disconnect the wire plugged into the MAF. 2000 and earlier models there is also one on the air bridge.

Step 2

Remove the A.I.R. hose from the side of the filter.

You can install the small air filter to the end of this hose or do it later.

Step 3

Loosen the clamp connecting the air bridge to the throttle body .

With a gentle pull and push from one side to the other the entire assembly is easily removed.

Step 5

You can now remove the filter from the MAF. Losen clamp with a 8mm or 5/16" driver.

Step 6

Remove the filter from the MAF

Step 7

Pop the MAF connector harness out of the fan shroud.

Step 8

Move it to the side.

Step 9

Center the enclosed template (using the notch as a guide), all the way to the top of the fan shroud. and screw it in place.

Step 10

Drill it in place using the 4) self-tapping stainless steel screws.

Step 11

You are ready to cut the hole for the air scoop.

Step 12

With a razor knife cut along the inside of the template. I find it best to score the entire hole to start.

You now have a near perfect hole to install the air scoop.

Step 15

You will notice that the holes in the scoop line up with the screw holes left by the template.

The filter box also lines up with these holes.

Step 16

You can now install the K & N filter to the MAF which should still be on the end of the air bridge.

Step 17

Connect the other end of the air bridge (with MAF and filter attached) to the throttle body.

Step 18

Tighten the clamp.

Step 19

Slide the filter box past the MAF and over the K & N filter.

Line up the holes in the box with the holes left behind by the template.

Step 20

Screw it in place using the supplied stainless steel screws.

Step 21

Connect the MAF wire and use the supplied mini air filter for the openned A.I.R tube.

Use the supplied zip-tie to attach the tubr to the fan shroud.

Step 22
